Take a look at this link: EA Expands Interactive Fitness Product Line with New EA SPORTS Active
"The new EA SPORTS Active 2.0* fitness program will deliver true fitness results by featuring an innovative wireless control system, powered by new leg and arm straps with motion sensors, a heart rate monitor to capture intensity, and a new online hub to track and share workout data."
I think the heart rate monitor is going to be the best addition to the game, and I love everything else that they are including as well. Although, it is a little disappointing that it seems for now, the PS3 is the only system that can download new exercises. I have this for the Wii and I don't plan on getting the new version for the PS3. The PS3 we have is in our bedroom and well, I can't workout in there because a bed is in the way. So, I do hope they reconsider this and allow Wii users to download content as well.
As for my current setup - I have 4 more exercise days for my first 30 day challenge - this coming Monday, 03/15, will be my final day. I'm so excited to finally be completing this kind of goal!!! I think my final plan will be to start the next 30 day challenge next Wednesday, 03/17, on low using the Wii balance board. Then, after that one, I'll do the 30 day on medium intensity without the board. Then medium with the board, then high without the board, and finally high with the board. That will give me a total of 180 for a structured workout routine. Then I will buy the EA Sports Active More Workouts and do the 6 week challenge. I assume that one has low, medium, and high intensities as well. I will have to see where I am at when that time comes to determine how I will structure it, but it will give me at least another 6 weeks.
After that - I figure it will be getting close for the new game to come out - then I'll have a 9 week challenge to work through. Yay and Yippie! :)
Now to stay motivated.... :)
