Food for Thought

Week 1

Jesus is the source of my health and my healing.

Real change can begin when we are willing to see ourselves as the problem and the love of God as the answer.

There is tremendous joy in trusting my life to a loving God.

The Lord is not interested in an instant makeover.  When we surrender to Him, He comes in and remodels us, inside and out, into totally new creations!

When we start calling on the Holy Spirit power that's available to us in Jesus Christ, we'll start winning our daily struggles with overeating.

Compulsive eating decreases in direct proportion to the growth of our faith.

If we let him, Jesus will bridge the gap in us between what we know is right and what we actually do.

Week 2

I choose to view the days of this spiritual eating and exercise program as an opportunity to grow in my knowledge and trust of God.

If we could catch a God's-eye-view of our own lives, we would not hurt our bodies by stuffing them with harmful amounts and kinds of food.  We would daily be about the business of nurturing ourselves because we would know that we are God's treasures.
